Project Aims

Strengthening the Capacity and Role of Civil Society Organizations in Egypt

The objective of the project is to promote a strengthened and inclusive civil society with the aim of improving quality of life in Aswan, the project aims to achieve this objective through intensive capacity building, community mobilization and creating solid linkages between local civil society organizations and the local governmental bodies to ensure comprehensive collaboration and strengthened role of the civil society organizations.

Consultancy Objective

  • The ultimate objective of this consultancy is to provide OHF with a cutting-edge, up-to-date curriculum that is in-line with global standards and best practices for civic work stakeholders.

Horizon Strategy

  • Evolutionary: Build upon existing local knowledge and international best practices
  • Trainee-centered-approach: Based on needs assessment and existing skill level
  • Participatory approach: Experiential learning, exchanging of knowledge and making training relevant to daily challenges on the field
  • Balance in the learning objectives: Concepts (What?), Values (Why?) and Skills (How?)
  • Interactive Style: Engage trainees in fun activities, group projects, creative activities, role playing, simulations, case studies and practical challenges.
